Asst. Prof. Dr. Nikom Suvonvorn <ผู้ช่วยศาสตราจารย์ ดร. นิคม สุวรรณวร> is currently a lecturer at Department of Computer Engineering (CoE), and the Assistant Dean for Graduate Studies at Faculty of Engineering (ENG), Prince of Songkla University (PSU), Hatyai, Thailand. In 2006, He received a PhD in computer science from l’Université de Paris Sud (XI), Orsay, France. In 2003, He obtained a DEA (Diplôme d’Etudes Approfondies), Master’s degree on Electronic System and Information Processing (SETI), from l’Institute d’Electronique Fondamontale (IEF) at l’Université de Paris Sud (XI). In the same year, He also got the Master’s Degree on Computer Engineering from Ecole Supérieure de Mécanique et d’Electricité (ESME)-Sudria engineering school at Paris.
His research concerns the computer vision, image processing, and its related applications as following:

- Human Behavior Analysis : Actions, Activities, and Behavior
- People Identification : ID Card Analysis, and Face
- Car and Motorcycle Analysis : Thai License Plate, Color, Type, and Brand
- Real-time Multimedia Framework for Surveillance System
- Video/Audio Processing
- Distributed/Parallel System
- Software Development
- Geographic Information System
