Abstract
We propose in this paper a method for measuring the quality of face images, detected from video sequence, which is used for key frame extraction. The method is aim for applying to the domain of video surveillance application. The inspection of covariance matrix values of face images within periods of time is the fundamental concept of our face quality index measurement. The system performance evaluation is done on testing dataset with discussion.
