Personal Information:

I have joined the Computer Engineering Department, Prince of Songkla University, since 1990. I have taught several undergraduate courses, including VLSI Design, Computer graphics, Advanced Analog and Digital Electronics, Software Engineering, Digital System Architecture, Digital Signal Processing, Principles of Pattern Recognition, Games Programming with Java, and Image Processing.  It took me 5 years (from 1990-1995) to complete my Master's degree in Electrical Engineering. Immediately after my graduation, I left for USA to continue my Ph.D. degree at Electrical and Computer Engineering, Old Dominion University, Norfolk, Virginia. Although I work in Computer Engineering Department , all the degrees I have earned are in Electrical Engineering!

My undergrade project concerned a hardware and software design of a datalogger system. The goal of the project was to design a datalogger with control capabilities. My project supervisors were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chusak Limsakul and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sinchai Kamolphiwong.

My master degree thesis was about the design of a fault tolerant digital switching network for plublic telephone exchange. I have designed and implemented a 2048x2048 digital switching module with fault tolerant functionalities. My thesis was under supervision of Aj.Weerapant Musigasarn.

My Ph.D. dissertation was focused on an investigation of variable block length methods for spectral/temporal feature extraction for continuous speech recognition. My dissertation supervisor was Prof. Dr. Stephen A. Zahorian.
