I was born in
Bangkok,
Thailand
in 1968 but I grew up in
Phuket.
I went to my first school, Dhammasupapakdee School, when I was 3 and a half
years old but I stayed there for just a couple of months and cried everyday so that my parents decided to move me to
Anuban Phuket
School where I stayed from Kindergarten I to II.
My primary school was Plukpanya School.
My secondary school was Satree Phuket
School.
I lived in Phuket for 16 and a half years until I enrolled as a
student in
Prince of Songkla University
in 1985.
In 1995, I got a scholarship to further my study in
the United Kingdom. Firstly, I started with an intensive English course and then enrolled in the M.Phil. program in Computer Science in January 1996. Finally, I
got my master and doctorate degrees in Computer Science from
The University of Manchester,
England,
United Kingdom, in December 1997 and February 2001 consecutively.
My project in my bachelor degree was entitled 'Development of a
computer communication system for Computer Aided Instruction.' My project
supervisor was Asst. Prof. Chatchawan Yonhong.
My Master thesis was entitled 'Application of Distributed Interactive
Simulation Communication Protocols in Spacecraft Simulation Systems.'
My Ph.D. thesis was entitled
'Further
Developments in Civil Distributed Interactive Simulation Systems.'
My thesis supervisor for my master and doctorate degrees was Dr. Richard
N. Zobel.
Research Interests
My research works concern
Distributed Interactive Simulation (1997-2000),
High Level Architecture (2000-2006),
Parallel and Distributed Computing and Systems (2006-Now), Bioinformatics
(2007-2020), and Braille Computer Systems
and Assistive Technology (2000-Now).
Administrative Works
During 1 December 2004 to 30 November 2008, I was Head of Department of Computer Engineering at Prince of
Songkla University (PSU) for 4 years. I was Head of PSU Grid
Center for 5 years from August 2007 to September 2012.
In 2005, I was Head of Braille Computer System Research Group for one year.
I was Head of iSys (Intelligent System) Research Group for 3 years from 2008 to 2010.
Currently, I serve as a committee for the postgraduate program.
Family
I have a daughter named Sonja. She was born in 2001.

I am interested in the Buddha's Dhamma.
